Truth or Lie?

Topic #23 by Daily Post :

Knowing the  Truth is better than living in the bliss of a lie or ignorance. We live in a world filled with lies. Whether it is about a candy bar or a conspiracy controlling the world, its the Truth alone that matters. And yet, after knowing certain truths, we can’t help but wish we hadn’t known the Truth. At least, its that in my case. Sometimes, I wonder, what if man never lied from the very beginning. What if people spoke the Truth and just the Truth. But, unfortunately, that’s a lie. What if we did live in the bliss of ignorance? It would be comfortable to some extent; not living in agony of knowing the harsh truth, but i’d rather live with the harsh truth. Nobody can tell you the truth. It must be realized.

“All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.”
Galileo Galilei
“You can bend it and twist it… You can misuse and abuse it… But even God cannot change the Truth.”
Michael Levy quotes

  1. It must be realised. Good stuff.

    • :-) Thanks a lot .

    • I like that line too! :)

      • :-D

  2. Excellent truth! Sometimes the harshness of truth awakens us to wisdom… I wonder where the expression “blissful ignorance” originated? Most certainly it’s tongue in cheek…

I finally got up the post I’ve been promising about dreams – here’s the link if you’d like to check it out:

I’d love to know what you think, if you find your dreams to be in line with what I experienced from this one… cheers!

  3. It really is a confusing world. It is always better to know the truth and tell the truth, but there are those white lies everyone tells. In most cases it has selfish motives, but there are few white lies that you tell others to make them happy. I am okay with it as long as it won’t cause them harm in the future.
But they too need to realize the truth in those white lies and then accept the white lies.

    • wow. “truth in those white lies”. Totally agree. :-)

  4. This discussion on truth has been quite interesting… Hasn’t it? Truth, lies, bliss, ignorance… all so simple yet so complex. At the end of the day, Galileo might have been on to something, it has to be realized. Truth is knowledge within; a knowing. The rest is semantics. :-)
How are you today? And I mean it…

    • haha. Yeah. Galileo must have been onto something :D Im fine today. Just came back after watching “127 Hours”. It was a pretty good movie. Learnt a lot from it. And how are you? Doing good?

  5. […] Faces fill with madness Miracles unheard of, hold on Faith is found in the winds All we have to do is reach for the truth […]
